Born in Tokyo, Japan and having lived in Zimbabwe and Switzerland, Mercy enjoys communicating with and learning from diverse audiences. Over the years, Mercy has maintained a solid network of reporters, brand managers and business owners who have cross-connected as a result of her business savvy. At the core of her work ethic is Mercy's ability to understand her client's needs and to execute with grace and ease.

Mercy uses her PR powers for good, volunteering with several organizations in the Washington Region, including the African Women's Cancer Awareness Association (AWCAA), the Claflin University Alumni Association, and ColorComm: Women of Color in Communications. Mercy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Claflin University where she studied Print Journalism and received her Master of Arts degree in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. The ad aired during the 2018 Oscars, and also included ColorComm Founder Lauren Wesley Wilson and ColorComm Communications Coordinator Erika Salbavaro. The 60-second spot was viewed live by over 26.5 million people, includes an original poem from Denice Frohman and features a multi-generational group of women from 20 to 82, including Hollywood filmmakers Issa Rae, Ava DuVernay, Julie Dash and Jennifer Brea.

Mercy was recently honored with a 2018 Washington Women In PR Emerging Leaders Award in the nonprofit category. Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR), the oldest professional society for female communicators in the greater capital area, named the 2018 Emerging Leaders Awards (ELAs) honorees Tuesday evening. The ninth annual ELAs honored rising stars, ages 25-35, who have excelled in public relations and related fields, and given back to the industry by contributing their skills and talents to innovative initiatives and projects. Six winners from different sectors within the communications field were announced at the ceremony to recognize the diverse group of up-and-coming communications professionals. Read about it here.
